Common File Issues

Fonts are Missing in Submitted Art File
Please make sure if you are submitting artwork that requries fonts you are converting those fonts
to oulines or submitting the font file with the art package. We don't have every font available to us.
If a font is missing, the program we use will convert your fonts to a generic system font.
We can't lay out your art file for production if we are missing fonts in your art file.

The File Submitted is a Flattened Image File
We need to lay your art on our template and follow our production guidelines.
Art should be provided to us with the layers still in them.
If an image is flattened on a background, there is no way for us to separate your art out for printing.

Images Aren't Provided to Linked Files
This mostly occurs in InDesign files.
If you are submitting a file where your images aren't embedded within the layout,
you will need to provide those images so we can re-link them when we open the file.
If we don't have those images, we can't lay out your file for production.

Submitting Low Resolution Image Files
All image files should be submitted at 300 PPI at full scale print size.
This is the standard resolution the print industry uses for print jobs.
We can print lower resolution images if that is all that is available, but you are likely to have pixelation and blurriness.
If the image submitted isn't a good quality image, your print won't be a good quality print.

Submitting Multicolor Image Files for Screen Printing
It is preferred that anything to be screen printed be provided in a vector format.
Vector art keeps everything as outlines and can be easily scaled, seperated into layers for films, and reproduced for screening.
If an image file is all that is available we can use an image file as long as it doesn't have a background
and is only to be screen printed as a single color. This is all dependent on the art submitted.

Leaving Extra Art or Information in Submitted Art Files
Please remove any extra art layers or extra pieces within the art file that should not be printed.
We lay your art out for print per our manufacturing guidelines and any extra pieces that aren't to be printed
can affect the end result. Most of the time this is random type pieces, lines or shapes outside
of the print area or hidden/overlapped in the print area. This also includes art submitted with masks over old art or other layouts.
Please only submit the art to be printed.
